a bid farewell

The day has come to sadly and rather unwillingly bid farewell to a precious friend. She'll be jet-setting off to JHB today and then a long flight (23 HOURS long) to South Korea where she'll be living there and teaching English for the next year! What an awesome cultural experience! Although we are ALL going to miss you dearly Jen, we are very excited for your adventure and your travels, and are hoping you leave not a bit of info in your updating email descriptions out!

Awesome memories :) Can't wait for your return,
...Missing you already*
GOOD LUCK and FAREWELL,
 The world is yours angel.

Weekend Festivities

So it’s Monday and another weekend has once again come and gone. Being back at work I realize how golden weekends are to me. Although I did work an odd shift this last weekend, I managed to make the most of the free time I did have although it was still pretty chilled and relaxing.

Saturday brought about my little brothers 10th birthday party at The Boardwalk. Movies, candy, funfair rides, putt-putt, lunch, and boat rides concluded the day of fun and festivities with a hand full of energetic kids and later on catching up with family and series.

Yesterday saw a stunning sunny (although slightly, okay... very breezy towards the afternoon) day on the beach at Pipe Port Elizabeth with friends and my man for the regional (Eastern Cape) club surf champs. Considering the conditions Cyoh (Port Elizabeth Surf Club) managed to win the title leaving PE loud and proud, snatching not only overall winner but 3rd and 1st place in the finals. Nothing like spending the day watching and supporting my love Justin Grey surfing with the sun on my face and sand under my feet. Your passion is my passion babe. Congrats again, you fill me with so much pride :) Can’t wait to see you off to nationals! Hitting the pillows after a great dinner in J’s arms watching tellie couldn’t have been a better send off to the new week.

Bring it on! Back to gym for me and perhaps a job interview I’m excited about, so holding thumbs and all the best and more for the week ahead. Happiness and laughter. Xxx

Monday is back.. AGAIN :)

What an eventful and busy week at work last week. My favourite sisters were down from Jeffrey’s Bay and my Tuesday & Wednesday nights were filled with awesome catch up sessions, wedding chats & much more. So exciting!

Thursday night brought a ladies dinner club eve to the cards at the infamous Chingadas Mexican Restaurant. Nothing like even more awesome company, girlie chats, cocktails and a delicous quesidilla, working it off afterward having a good dance.

This past weekend yet working was pretty eventful in itself. I spent a great night in chilling with my man. We got to a wedding on Saturday, owning the reception of course, open bar, cascade, plenty laughs and thee best company :) Congrats again to Taren & Bruno! Not only did we hit the town afterwards with friends, we had a mad jol! Sunday saw a traditional outing lunch after work and an arvo of napping with a cosy 8'o clock movie.

Events whether positive or negative, and conversations alike can change worlds. Besides all the fun this weekend has been, it has been pretty life changing in a sense. If something’s happened to you or something’s shifted in the universe & turned your world the right side up, like it has mine, hold onto it and make the most of it. I can with all my heart say that I might not know HOW I’m going to get to where I want to be, but I definitely know where I’m heading, and that’s the most important thing. I am such a lucky girl to have such an amazing boyfriend in my life to love cherish & be happy with.
 Thank you for this weekend.

The meaning of friendship ♥

True friendship is perhaps the only relation that survives the trials and tribulations of time and remains unconditional. A unique blend of affection, loyalty, love, respect, trust and loads of fun is perhaps what describes the true meaning of friendship. Similar interests, mutual respect and strong attachment with each other are what friends share between each other. These are just the general traits of a friendship. To experience what friendship is, one must have true friends, who are indeed rare treasure.

Friendship is a feeling of comfort and emotional safety with a person. It is when you do not have to weigh your thoughts and measure words. It is when someone knows you better than yourself and assures to be your side in every emotional crisis. It is when you can sleep fighting and get another morning with a better understanding. Friendship is much beyond roaming together and sharing good moments, it is when someone comes to rescue you from the worst phase of life. Friendship is eternal.

Im so grateful for true friends, and that I have a best friend as well as a partner.
